His contributions were not limited to solo exhibitions; he also actively participated in group exhibitions across Slovenia and around the world, making his mark in countries such as Italy, the USA, Switzerland, Serbia, Canada, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Austria, France, Norway, and even the Museum Osnabrück in Germany.

Beyond his accomplishments in painting, Jože Peternelj Mausar was a gifted writer. He authored several novellas, each released as a standalone edition. Additionally, his literary prowess extended to publishing shorter pieces in prestigious literary magazines and anthologies.

Jože Peternelj Mausar passed away on February 28, 2013, in Škofja Loka, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of art and literature.
